See what our community partners are saying…
CEC has outlined a plan in which we envision that in 20 years, all the buildings in our region are super efficient, generating as much energy as they use. In addition, our goal is that 100% of our region’s electricity is generated from clean, renewable sources, such as the sun. In order to accomplish such a bold goal, we need visionary partners who are committed to making older buildings as energy efficient as possible. The Lobero Theatre is such a visionary. We write this letter in support of the Lobero Theatre team and their efforts to decrease long term operational costs, increase the health and comfort of the building, and invest in energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Through participation in the City of Santa Barbara’s foodscrap recycling program, we at CAMA have greatly reduced our landfill-bound waste. The information and training provided by the City have empowered us not just to compost, but also to recycle more intelligently, and most of our waste (likely more than 90%) is now going into the compost and recycling bins. I am immensely grateful to see firsthand how CAMA is now doing its part to keep waste out of the landfill and contribute positively to the environment.
